DJ Profiles

old school funk / Jamaican ska / disco / butt-shaking techno

Spencer’s unwavering dedication to the groove has defined his DJ sets for almost 3 decades. Although a self-proclaimed house-head, he is known for mixing things up. From old school funk, Jamaican ska to disco and butt-shaking techno – if it makes people move it’s in the bag. As a true vinyl-native (he still doesn’t know his way around a CDJ) he has spent far too much time and money on records over the years, crate digging in Japan and London, building on his sprawling collection.

No stranger to Singapore’s early club scene, he has manned the decks at places like Phuture, Zouk, Lola and the original Liquid Room where he was resident. He’s also played at events like Singapore’s Womad Festival and farther afield at parties in KL and Shanghai

Funk / Soul / Hip Hop / RnB

DJ Titus has been involved in the Singapore entertainment industry for over 30 years. His career has seen him perform in India, China, all over South- East Asia and Australia. Starting his days as a young DJ in clubs he set himself apart in Singapore to pioneer playing Funk, Soul, Hip Hop and RnB as well as Top 40s, House and Chilled Out cuts.

His years has seen him play in local RnB clubs like Attica, the former Ku De Ta at the Marina Bay Sands, KYO and Refuge, where he doubled up as the Entertainment Director. He was the host of Singapore’s first Hip Hop Radio show called “Black Market” which broadcasted live on ONE 91.3FM (1997 – 2000). Here he interviewed renowned RnB artistes such as Whitney Houston, James Ingram and Teddy Riley, just to name a few.

chOO’s used vinyl collection started in 2007 from his weekly Sungei Road hauls before the flea market eventually made way for high-rise development in 2017. Their covers might be tattered, but the records still play as vividly as our shared musical memories when the needle hits the grooves. Expect 1980s–1990s MTV hits across pop, rock, hip-hop and maybe.. a little acid-jazz.

Underground house / Techno / Breaks / Electro tracks

With over two decades of DJing experience, Abery has graced the decks of renowned Singapore venues, including Supperclub Singapore, Siloso Beach Party, Phuture, Zouk and more recently CM-PB, Honcho, and The Armoury. Formerly the resident DJ at the now-defunct Singapore outpost of the legendary Ibiza music lifestyle brand Café del Mar, Abery’s finely tuned sets feature top-tier underground house, techno, breaks, and electro tracks, often revealing hidden musical treasures.

With a steadfast commitment and humble dedication to the craft of DJing, Abery has developed a style that, while distinctly his own, seeks to resonate with listeners and clubbers alike. Beyond the decks, he is a vinyl aficionado, tirelessly digging for rare vinyl gems to infuse his performances with an authentic and timeless vibe.

KC aka Dusty Fingers

Funk / Disco

KC aka Dusty Fingers is less a DJ and more a Selector. He loves sharing music he loves that he hopes will bring a smile, shake the head and move the body of the people who care to listen. Vinyl records is his culture because it was the default media growing up. It is rice to his ears, an essential and a must-have. It is physical and real, every crackle and pop a reminder of what it feels like to be imperfect, to be human. So come and treat yourself to something soulful, something funky and something dusty.

Indie rock / New Wave / etc

Samurai is a stealth DJ; his eclectic blend of thumping tunes will creep up, embed and smother you. He loves electro and anything melodic, but secretly he’s an indie rock fan, a New Wave juggler and an obscure soul pusher. His snazzy and snappy sets — and refusal to be pigeonholed as a “genre” DJ — is what his fans love about his selections. He plays a regular live DJ set on Lush 99.5FM and has also performed at Butter Factory, Avalon, The Rabbit Hole, Kudeta, Tanjong Beach Club, Overeasy, Zouk Wine Bar, Fabrika, Bed Supperclub, Singapore Beer Festival, Style Magazine’s ’10 Years of Photography’, Female Magazines’ 40th Anniversary Party at W Sentosa, and Guess? Jeans’ Anniversary Party — he opened for Global Underground’s Ashley Casselle at Azzura. He’s not Japanese.
