Non-Hotel Wedding Venue Singapore: Ten Years, Three Continents, and Still Coming Back for the Same Beer

Most couples looking for a non-hotel wedding venue in Singapore want the same thing: somewhere that doesn’t feel like a ballroom, doesn’t come with a 25-table minimum, and actually feels like them. Ten years ago, Michelle and Jonny took a chance on holding their wedding after-party at a craft beer wedding venue that was still finding its feet — Little Island Brewing Co in Changi Village. This month, they’re back to prove it was worth it.

Michelle & Jonny: Ten Years On at Changi Village

In August 2016, Michelle and Jonny held their wedding after-party at LIBC Changi Village — one of the earliest wedding celebrations we ever hosted, back when we were still figuring out what an after-party at a Changi Village wedding venue even looked like. They took the leap anyway, trading a stuffy hotel ballroom send-off for craft beer on tap and long-table dinners by the sea.

A decade, a move to the UK, and countless pints later, they flew back to Singapore, and on 15 August 2026, they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary right back where it started, this time as a family of three. They booked out the Beer Garden, brought in their own band for the night, and marked the milestone with the people who mattered most. Their son Noah just turned 5, and he’s already got his own LIBC history – two years ago, he celebrated his 3rd birthday at our Gillman Barracks outlet with a full space mission: a cardboard rocket ship, a tiny NASA astronaut suit, and a planet-covered birthday cake.

Here’s a look back at where their story began, and where Noah’s began too, alongside a few moments from the anniversary night itself. Their 2016 after-party was exactly what a LIBC wedding should look like: friends dancing on the benches under the fairy lights until the night ran out. Ten years on, the dancing hasn’t stopped.

Tasha & Marcus: Singapore to Chiang Mai

Tasha and Marcus held their wedding after-party at Changi Village too, before relocating to Chiang Mai. Distance hasn’t gotten in the way of them staying close, they recently sent us photos and their love from their new home, a reminder that the people who choose a craft beer wedding venue in Singapore don’t stop being part of that story just because they’ve moved on.

Rose & Heyko: A Postcard from a Three-Year European Holiday

Not every regular has moved away for good. Rose and Heyko have spent the last three years touring Europe — Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, visiting family in Bavaria and friends in Holland — and they took the time, somewhere on the road between Strasbourg and the Normandy coast, to write us this:

“In France we found quite a few places to compare with LIBC, but it is never the same, or similar atmosphere. That means [Little Island Brewing Co] is sitting on something quite unique. This uniqueness has to be preserved at all times and at all cost. Handled with silk gloves. Changes are the worst enemy to uniqueness. Do not change anything unless it is absolutely necessary.”

They’re heading back to Singapore by the end of the year, and they’ve already promised themselves a first glass of beer at LIBC the moment they land.

Why We’re Sharing This

We built our venues to be more than a place to grab a beer after work, a place for the milestones. Birthdays. Weddings. Anniversary dinners in Singapore. Reunions with old friends who now live on the other side of the world. It’s easy to say that in a mission statement. It’s a different thing entirely when the people who lived it write to tell you themselves.

If you celebrated something with us — a wedding, an anniversary, a birthday, anything at all, we’d love to hear from you too. And if you’re still searching for a wedding venue in Singapore that doesn’t feel like everyone else’s, well, there’s no better time to start than your next milestone. (And if a wedding turns into a birthday party a few years down the line, like it did for Noah – even better.)
